On Saturday, June 2, 2018, more than 100 students and parents packed a classroom at the Islamic Association of Collin County to listen to attorneys and CAIR-DFW representatives provide information on constitutional protections and legal rights when confronted with law enforcement at school. The material was tailored to high school students and parents in response to confirmed reports of FBI agents having school children pulled from class to be interviewed without parental consent, parental notification or legal representation.

Parents were provided with a form letter to give to school administrators. This letter informs school administrators that their children are not to be interviewed by law enforcement without parental consent and an attorney present. Furthermore, the letter states that parents are to be notified immediately in the event law enforcement requests an interview with their child.
